Sky Crompton

Sky Crompton is an Filmmaker and Educator who explores the landscape of human experience through narratives and characters for the large and small screens. His research interests are in Asian cultures and narrative. His most recent work, a 85 min Feature film in mandarin and English about new Chinese Australians living in Melbourne, is currently in post production. Working as a writer, director and producer he has had cast - such as Asher Keddy (Love My Way), Andrew S Gilbert (The Boys, Around the Twist) and Alex Demitriades (Head On, The Heartbreak Kid) - read and performing his literary works for the stage and screen, and he has received wide praise in Australia and abroad for his innovative narrative styles. He holds a Diploma in Film making from New York Film Academy, and an Advanced Diploma of Screen (HIT), Diploma in Training and assessment and is currently undertaking Masters of Creative Media (By Research) at RMIT. He coordinated the Advanced Diploma of Screen at Holmesglen TAFE for a number of years where he lectures in Writing, Producing and Directing for the screen and has taught since 1998.
