Sabina Hussain completed her PhD at Macquarie University. In her thesis she examined migrant experiences in Asian-Australian literature with a focus on writers from the Indian subcontinent. She is currently working on a Research Project on Adult Literacy/Illiteracy at the German Institute for Adult Education. In her project she looks at aspects of literacy and migration; literacy and social inclusion; she is also responsible for compiling reports of good practices from around the world. Sabina is interested in migration, diaspora, hybridity, and transnationalism.
The AASRN is a formal network for academic, community and other institutional groups who research in the area of Asian Australian Studies.
