Ruth DeSouza
Ruth DeSouza is a Senior Research Fellow at Auckland University of Technology’s Centre for Asian and Migrant Health Research; a Director of Wairua Consulting Limited and a committee member of the Refugee Council of New Zealand. Ruth has a background in mental health nursing, counseling and education. She is passionate about the ethnic sector and in how technology can advance the aspirations of communities. She set up the Aotearoa Ethnic Network (AEN) list, an online community of interest, to help people connect and share information and ideas and is co-editor of theAEN Journal. Ruth is a board member of the Walsh Trust and editorial board member of the journal, Diversity in Health and Social Care and the Journal of Transcultural Nursing.
