Lucinda O’Brien completed a BA with Honours in 2002, then studied Law and became a solicitor. She is currently working in legal policy development but hope to commence a PhD in 2010. Her research will focus on postcolonial writing in Australia and Canada, including writing by recent immigrants from Asia. She is particularly interested in the use of the short story to articulate experiences of migration and exile.
The AASRN is a formal network for academic, community and other institutional groups who research in the area of Asian Australian Studies.
