Layli Rakhsha was born in Tehran-Iran in 1976. She migrated to Western Australia to complete her study in Art while she had her Diploma of Fine Art from Azad Islamic University in 1999. Rakhsha was awarded a “Painting Studio Award” as she completed her Bachelor of Visual Art, at Edith Cowan University in 2004. In 2006, she completed a Masters of Visual Art in the School of Communications and Contemporary Arts at Edith Cowan University. Rakhsha has been in several group exhibitions such as UnAustralia Exhibition of Creative On-line Works and Yellow Vest Syndrome in Australia. Rakhsha has also had five solo exhibitions in Australia and Iran. In 2008 Rakhsha provided translation of the poetry of John Mateer and designed the cover of the booklet, The Language. Layli Rakhsha is living and practising art in Perth.
The AASRN is a formal network for academic, community and other institutional groups who research in the area of Asian Australian Studies.
