Cinnamon Van Reyk

Cinnamon van Reyk has been working as a social history curator at the National Museum of Australia since 2002 and is undertaking a Masters of Philosophy at the School of Cultural Inquiry at the Australian National University. The current working title of her thesis is ‘Being someone. Creating visibility in contemporary Sri Lankan Australian art.’ which will be informed by visual culture theory in order to look at the history of multiculturalism, changing context of whiteness, postcolonial studies and the history of migration of Sri Lankan Burghers and Anglo-Sri Lankans to Australia through examining the works of three contemporary artists.
