Charlotte Setijadi is a PhD candidate in the School of Social Sciences (Anthropology) at La Trobe University. Her PhD research project looks at everyday forms of identity construction among young Chinese Indonesians (between the ages of 15-24) in post-Suharto Indonesia, especially in relation to peer socialisation and consumption of popular culture as potential sites where cultural and ethnic identities are negotiated.
