Catalina Ribas-Segura is a Spaniard passionate about Australia. She graduated in English from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and is currently writing her PhD thesis at the same university. However, she lives in Palma de Mallorca, her hometown, where she works at the tertiary institution CES Alberta Giménez. In 2007 she guest edited the first edition of Coolabah, the online magazine of the Australian Studies Centre at the University of Barcelona (http://www.ub.edu/dpfilsa/Coolabah%20Main%20page.html). Her research interests are migrant literature, migrant identities, Chinese-Australians, Greek-Australians, first- and second-generation migrants, history, sociology and politics.
The AASRN is a formal network for academic, community and other institutional groups who research in the area of Asian Australian Studies.
